Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer III

About the Role

Provides high-quality pediatric echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist. Acts as a mentor and resource for students, sonographers, and fellows, supporting their clinical and administrative skill development. Participates actively in Performance Improvement Projects to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric echocardiograms on patients from newborns to adults.
• Mentor and support students, staff, and fellows in echocardiography.
• Deliver patient-centered care considering age, diagnosis, and psychosocial factors.
• Ensure efficient lab operations and uphold service excellence.
• Engage in teamwork and ongoing learning.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited sonography program (preferred).
• 3-5 years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
• Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS).
• Current BLS certification.
• Onsite work required; remote options are not available.
• Must meet immunization requirements (e.g., MMR, varicella, Tdap).

Pay

Competitive pay starting at $40.40/hr.
