CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER III

Position Summary

The candidate will work in a Covenant Health System Cardiac Diagnostics Department utilizing state of the art technology to assist our cardiologists in diagnosing congenital, structural, and disease-process cardiac issues. The candidate will perform procedures to IAC standards and guidelines, to include transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.

Responsibilities

• Understands cross-sectional human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology to obtain optimal studies.
• Precepts and trains new employees and students in the technical aspects of echocardiography.
• Absorbs and applies knowledge of advanced medical terminology.
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in all facets of performing optimal studies to include pertinent clinical history, related diagnostic procedures, ultrasound physics, normal anatomy, and pathological variants.
