About the role
The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Emory University Department of Pediatrics invite applications for a faculty position in the Pediatric Cancer Outcomes Program. This position is part of a strategic plan to expand a world-class Pediatric Cancer Outcomes Program, which includes a multi-disciplinary team focusing on clinical research, patient care, and survivorship.
Description
We are seeking strong epidemiology candidates with expertise in pediatric cancer outcomes research and public health methodologies. The successful candidate will join a team that conducts patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research and works with national survivor cooperative groups like the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study and Children’s Oncology Group.

The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center offers a collaborative environment for clinical research, supported by a well-funded Clinical Research Office. The center serves a diverse population, including a significant number of rural residents, and collaborates with institutions such as the Rollins School of Public Health, the American Cancer Society, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a PhD and have a strong record of scholarly achievement.
- Experience in pediatric oncology is preferred.
- A successful applicant will collaborate with the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at the Winship Cancer Institute, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
