About the role
Become part of a dynamic team of anesthesiologists at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, where you'll provide anesthesia services to both pediatric and adult patients in a high-acuity environment. You will work closely with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) under medical supervision and manage a caseload that includes approximately 20% pediatric cases.
Responsibilities
- Supervise CRNAs in providing anesthesia services
- Manage a caseload that includes both pediatric and adult patients
- Work in a 500-bed acute care hospital with Level III Trauma Center, Level IV NICU, and affiliated Providence Children's Hospital
- Practice in a call schedule of 5-6 days per month with a post-call day off
- Participate in in-house billing, coding, and collections
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
- Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Spanish speaking preferred, but not required
Qualifications
- Experience in pediatric and adult anesthesia
- Ability to work in a high-acuity environment
- Strong communication skills
