Position Highlights
- Full-time, employed position with an 80% clinical effort with 20% protected academic time
- Join a team of six Allergy/Immunology faculty members, two Pediatric Rheumatologists, 4 Allergy/Immunology fellows, specialized allergy/immunology nursing staff, social workers, asthma-focused advanced practice support, and an established SCID newborn screening program.
- Balanced clinical schedule with 6–7 half-day clinics per week
- Approximately 5-7 days of inpatient allergy/immunology/asthma consult service per month
- Shared home call responsibilities with no in-house call requirements
- Average weekend inpatient consult coverage is 1 every 4-5 weeks
- Patient populations include pediatric and adult patients with a broad spectrum of allergic and immunologic diseases
- Academic appointment with the Department of Pediatrics, Central Michigan University College of Medicine
- Additional opportunities for inter-institutional teaching and research collaboration with Michigan State University and Wayne State University School of Medicine
Candidate Requirements
- Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and/or American Board of Internal Medicine
- Fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology with board eligibility or board certification in the subspecialty
- Eligibility to obtain Michigan medical licensure
- Strong interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Interest in quality improvement, education, research, and program development is encouraged
- Experience or interest in food allergy and oral immunotherapy is welcomed
