About Humankind
Humankind is a leader in child development in the Netherlands. What began in 1983 as childcare now encompasses much more. With around 2,900 employees, we apply our pedagogical expertise with heart, mind, and hands to ensure the optimal growth and flourishing of every child. Humankind is small, close, warm, and tender—yet also grand and ambitious. We contribute to a better society, because every child who grows into a resilient adult makes our world more beautiful.
About the Role
Kinderdagverblijf Koala in the green town of Laren is a trusted place where children grow at their own pace. Our close-knit team provides a safe, loving environment full of discovery: playing outside, marveling, and finding peace in the baby garden or under the trees. With both daycare and after-school care (BSO) on one location and a petting zoo nearby, everything is close at hand.
We are looking for colleagues to work with both baby and toddler groups. One day you might work at KDV Koala with toddlers, the next day at KDV Berenvanck in Blaricum with the youngest children. You feel welcome, share your talents, and pick up new ideas. This comes naturally to you.
Who You Are
- Enthusiastic and energetic, with a warm and empathetic nature.
- Patient, positive, and flexible in your approach.
- A big heart for children aged 0 to 4—and they have one for you.
- Someone who effortlessly organizes activities.
- You enjoy your work and value collaboration and participation.
- A perseverant professional with a qualifying diploma at least at MBO (vocational) level, or currently pursuing a qualifying HBO (higher professional) or WO (university) degree to work in childcare. Check if your diploma qualifies here.
- If your diploma (just) doesn’t meet the requirements, we’d still like to get in touch via this link.
Children are vulnerable, so language comprehension is crucial. From January 1, 2025, it is legally required that pedagogical staff meet the 3F language proficiency standard. Learn more here.
