Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Promote physical fitness, wellness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on skill development and participation.
- Establish and enforce appropriate safety procedures and classroom expectations.
- Organize and manage equipment, facilities, and instructional materials.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and staff to support student success and school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress when appropriate.
- Participate in school liturgies, faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
- Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and values of Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic School.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Missouri teaching certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Previous teaching or coaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of physical education curriculum, fitness principles, and student development.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying skill levels and abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must respect and support the mission and values of Catholic education.

Pay
Gross salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
