PCU Registered Nurse - $30-43 per hour

About the role

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in El Paso, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
• Supervises staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
• Supports CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
• Provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• Directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control.
• Coordinates and plans patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Fulfills HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
• Knows and adheres to the Hospital’s emergency codes and policies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of RN experience for PRN status (preferred).
• Recent acute care experience (preferred).
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
• AHA BLS certification (required).
• If applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP certifications (required).
