About the Role

The primary function of the PCT is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends most of their time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary along with excellent communication skills both to and from the patient and family, and to and from the rest of the healthcare team.

Schedule

Shift: Varies
Working Hours: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
This position is authorized for 0.80 hours bi-weekly.

Requirements

  • 12 college-level credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts will be verified upon application)
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited RN Nursing program with one semester completed
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Service industry experience preferred but not required
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
