PCT PT Weekend Day Med-Surg
About the role
Provides patient care and treatments according to policy and procedure, ensuring care is appropriate to patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs.
Affords assistance to the healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse, including obtaining nursing histories, identifying patient needs, and reporting abnormalities.
Maintains patient and staff safety by following isolation protocols, using protective equipment appropriately, practicing hand hygiene, and responding effectively in clinical emergencies.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members while maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive care environment.
Supports quality improvement initiatives through accurate documentation, adherence to department standards, continuous learning, and participation in performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Works every Saturday and Sunday from 6a-6p. No call required.
- Performs patient care and treatments as per policy and procedure.
- Affords assistance to the healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse.

- High School Grad or Equiv
- Field Of Study: N/A
- Work Experience: 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred], Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]
