PCT Patient Care Technician PCT Full Time Days 3.5K NEW RATES

About the Role

We are seeking Nursing Assistants/Patient Care Techs to join our team at Gateway Rehab, a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Florence, KY. We provide rehabilitative services to help patients regain physical or cognitive abilities and return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, you’ll work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where you get to know patients and their families.

Full-time day shift positions with 12-hour shifts and a $3,500 bonus opportunity are available. New rates effective 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing personnel in providing and documenting patient care, including activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and grooming.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment for patients.
• Apply basic infection control procedures, nutrition, and fluid intake skills.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Aide or other relevant experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant in the state of employment required.
• BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Acute care or LTAC experience.
• Ability to project a professional image and knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
