Patient Care Technician PCT Full Time Days 3K

About the Role

We are seeking Patient Care Techs to join our team at Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas, located in Mandan, ND. This is a full-time position with 12-hour day shifts, offering a $3,000 bonus. Our hospital is a 41-bed Critical Care Hospital providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities
• Work under the supervision of an RN/LPN/LVN who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and PCT/PCA skills and abilities
• Report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the registered nurse
• Utilize basic infection control procedures, basic nutrition, and fluid intake
• Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant or PCT program, or successful completion of the Hospital's PCT training and orientation program
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Patient Care Technician/Associate in the state of employment preferred
• Ability to project a professional image
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Phlebotomy training and ECG training preferred
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
