PCT/CNA/MA - Acute Care Night Shift

About the role

The Valley View's Acute Care NIGHT shift team is seeking a PCT CNA/MA/EMT to join their team. This is a Night Shift position working 3 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends. The position involves performing basic patient care under the supervision of RN/LPN, observing patient conditions, maintaining supplies, and assisting with various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care including hygiene, nutrition, I&O, and vital sign monitoring.
• Observes patient condition and reports any abnormal symptoms or unusual occurrences immediately.
• Performs specialized skills after additional training and competency verification.
• Maintains adequate supplies and participates in unit and patient care area upkeep.
• Sets up and maintains equipment as directed.
• Provides a safe, efficient environment for patients and families.
• Affords assistance to patients, visitors, and families, either meeting requests or communicating them to appropriate staff members.
• Affords assistance to care providers as needed.
• Affords assistance with clerical duties.
• Affords assistance with obtaining accurate heights and weights as directed.
• Affords patient rounding.
• Affords assistance with implementing and monitoring fall prevention precautions.

Requirements

• Completion of Nursing Assistant or equivalent patient care training program and/or past experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Pay

Salary range: $20.00 to $28.87/hour (PCT) Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. Evening/Night/Weekend differentials apply.
