PCBA Soldering Technician
Primary Responsibilities
- Hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium and high density printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Soldering/working under a microscope
- Willingness to perform rework of various electronic packages including resistors, capacitors, through-hole parts
- Ability to work towards day-to-day objectives and significantly impact work output
- Capable of working independently under limited supervision
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with different functions, project teams, and production teams
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Less than 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience
- Experience soldering under a microscope
- Ability to solder surface mount and through-hole components
- Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
- US Citizen and eligible for a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610
- Current or prior certification in J-STD-001 Huntsville
- Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area
About the Role
Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCBA Soldering Technician to join their team that produces a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
This position involves hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium and high density printed circuit boards (PCBs), soldering/working under a microscope, and performing rework of various electronic packages including resistors, capacitors, through-hole parts.
The candidate must be able to work independently under limited supervision and interact with different functions, project teams, and production teams.
This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Level of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience.
Requirements
Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Qualifications
High School diploma/GED

Benefits
Pay Range $35,100.00 - $63,450.00
