Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain PCB component libraries, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all design projects.
- Develop and implement complete PCB layout solutions in alignment with engineering specifications and project requirements.
- Work with cross-functional product development teams in supporting product development.
- Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including schematics, bills of materials, fabrication, and assembly drawings to support PCBA manufacturing.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team consisting of electrical and mechanical designers to ensure cohesive product development.
- Maintain and update PADS libraries to reflect the latest component and design standards.
- Oversee PCB layout development, including component placement review and approval to meet design and manufacturing standards.
- Lead and conduct PCB layout reviews, addressing high-speed design considerations such as crosstalk, signal integrity, and best practice layout strategies.
- Prepare project quotations and estimates based on customer specifications and engineering team direction.
- Keep up to date on high-speed design techniques, including PCB material selection, layer construction, and manufacturing guidelines, and implement them into the design as applicable.
- Support component selection and qualification processes through collaboration with hardware engineering teams.
- Participate in departmental and program-level meetings to maintain alignment and communication across teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant career experience.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD-related software (Altium, PADS, Xpedition, etc.).
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to adapt to diverse product domains, including military, medical, consumer, and industrial electronics.
