PCA: Personal Care Aide

Inspire of McClelland provides comfort of home to independent elders, with leisurely access to delicious & nutritious meals, wellness & social activities, assistance with tasks of daily living, and medication assistance. We seek PCA's for immediate hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicate in a dignified, respectful manner.
• Relate well to residents, visitors and other staff members.
• Show emotional and physical stamina to serve residents in their daily living skills.
• Participate in opportunities for personal academic growth.
• Practice self-control in speech, listening, body and facial mannerisms.
• Aid residents with activities of daily living.
• Aid residents with medication.
• Aid residents with grooming, showering, and other aspects of personal care.
• Update medication administration record as needed.
• Ensure residents receive all necessary documents before doctor appointments.
• Consult and correspond with doctor offices for clarifications.
• Contact pharmacies for prescription refills and ensure eScript copies are received.
• Record all pertinent information regarding residents in the twenty-four hour log book.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior experience with medication assistance preferred.
• Previous experience, either professional, personal, or volunteer, with the elderly population preferred.

Compensation

$16/Hours + PTO
