About the role
Personal Care Aide (PCA) providing essential in-home care services.
Responsibilities
- Follow care plans
- Complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets
- Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, ambulating, feeding, oral hygiene)
- Utilize mobility aids and equipment
- Maintain a safe, clean environment
- Respect client privacy
- Ensure quality care within scope
- Support clients with self-help activities
- Perform secondary tasks like light housekeeping, laundry, and grocery shopping, adhering to safety and infection control protocols
- Notify supervisors of any changes in client condition or safety concerns
- Report any abuse or neglect
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- At least 6 months of verifiable caregiving experience
- Must be 18 or older
- Able to read and write
- Ability to assist with self-administered medications (not direct administration)
- Strong communication
- Adherence to safety protocols
- Respect for confidentiality
