PCA/ Nurse Assistant - Surgical Acute - Part-Time - Chula Vista

About the role

The Chula Vista campus of Scripps Mercy serves the cities of Chula Vista, Otay Mesa, National City, Imperial Beach, Bonita and beyond. Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Absorb and assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living.
• Collects data and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment.
• Assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Support the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.

Requirements

• Preferred CNA certification.
• Multiple patient care skills.
• One-year acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider.
• Current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school.
• Current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude.

Pay

$25.48-$30.89/hour*

Schedule

Part-Time, 12-hour NIGHT shifts, including weekends and holidays.
