About the role
Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team. This position works evenings from 3 PM to 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday, alternating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff nurses in providing comprehensive patient care
- Input for patient care plans
- Review patient status
- Aid in obtaining patient data
- Maintain vigilance over patient conditions
- Support admission and discharge processes
- Ensure patients and families feel at home
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic Technician (PCT) certification with an expiration date
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification

Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $32.49 - $33.47 per hour, with additional benefits available. The salary of the finalist will be determined based on various factors, including scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

The base pay scale for this position is $32.49 - $33.47.
