About the Role
Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for a PCA (Patient Care Assistant) looking to fast-track to working as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).
Fast-Track Options
- Track 1: Test Out Option
- Many PCAs have the basic knowledge and experience to become a CNA quickly by testing out of the written and skills tests required for CNA certification.
- We will provide the CNA Handbook & Skills Handbook for study.
- We will arrange a Q&A session with our team to answer any questions before testing.
- We will pay for the CNA test upfront, reimbursed once the test is passed.
- Newly certified CNAs can start immediately at the facility.
- Track 2: Work While You Learn
- The facility will assist PCAs with signing up and paying for a local CNA course.
- While taking the course, PCAs can work in a CNA role for up to four months.
- This option allows PCAs to earn money while completing the course and testing out.
- PCAs will receive upfront training in the facility to help them feel comfortable in the new position.
- Gain real on-the-job experience that will assist with coursework.
Pay
Newly hired PCAs will earn $18.63 per hour while working toward CNA certification. Once certified as a CNA, the pay increases to $19.13 per hour, and you become eligible for a sign-on bonus per guidelines.
