PC&L Team Leader - 2nd Shift

About the Role

The PC&L Team Leader manages shipping and receiving processes, associate training, compliance with standardized work, and equipment operation to cover labor shortages. They ensure performance metrics and KPIs are met and facilitate problem-solving activities within their assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Assure incoming and outgoing materials are transacted accurately, promptly, and safely.
• Ensure adherence and consistency with Shape shipping and receiving procedures.
• Assist the PC&L Supervisor in driving continuous improvement of department key measures.
• Perform monthly physical inventory of the Shipping & Receiving area.
• Support corporate lean and 5S initiatives.
• Utilize Shape's problem-solving tools to address and resolve issues.
• Lead shift start meeting (Top5) with all team members.
• Ensure smooth hand-off to the next shift by communicating production levels and issues.
• Lead efforts to improve and update standardized work regularly.
• Manage the versatility process with the APT.
• Teach and develop team members in lean manufacturing principles and capabilities.
• Answer associate questions and foster a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Perform on-the-job training and cross-training of associates as needed.
• Identify and train a back-up(s) to fill Material Handler key tasks when absent.
• Act as back-up leader in the PC&L Supervisor's absence.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the PC&L Supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
