About the role
Promptly answers all incoming calls and assists in placing outgoing calls.
Maintains code phone, code computer or wall panel alarms, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
Monitors fire panel alarms, wall alarms, code phone and code computer, contacting the fire department and other personnel as required.
Performs other related duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Promptly answers all incoming calls and assists in placing outgoing calls.
- Maintains code phone, code computer or wall panel alarms, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
- Monitors fire panel alarms, wall alarms, code phone and code computer, contacting the fire department and other personnel as required.
- Pages on web-based paging systems and switchboards for authorized personnel, physicians, and emergency calls.
- Places long-distance and local calls for various departments and doctors' offices.
- Assists patients by providing guidance on how to place local and long-distance calls.
- Documents vital information to assist supervisors in maintaining current files with daily PBX operations.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
