About the Role

The Payroll Support Specialist manages a dedicated portfolio of clients by accurately supporting payroll processing and resolving payroll-related issues. As a primary point of contact, this role provides technical guidance, addresses client questions, and helps ensure payroll operations run smoothly and accurately. The position contributes directly to client satisfaction and successful payroll delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients by phone and web to identify and resolve payroll challenges.
  • Provide technical support and guidance related to payroll processing procedures.
  • Manage the integration of client payroll submissions into the payroll software.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employer and employee payroll questions.
  • Manage multiple client payroll cycles simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional, and solutions-oriented support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll support.
  • Hands-on experience with SaaS payroll software such as ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
  • Strong customer service skills and genuine interest in helping clients resolve issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple client payroll cycles simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Exposure to certified payroll or prevailing wage requirements.
  • Experience with PEO or ASO models.

Pay

Annual salary range of $50,000–$65,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
