About the role

This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll cycles including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and year-end activities for assigned clients. The position emphasizes quality control, auditing, and proactive issue resolution while collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, garnishments, etc., are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, tax forms, payments and payroll processing for assigned clients
  • Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employee inquiries
  • Provide Payroll support services to clients according to Dayforce contract, legislative requirements and business needs
  • Manage client and consumer related tasks within the case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
  • Drive customer satisfaction by providing high quality of service
  • Flexibility in terms of working hours, think and act ahead, spot opportunities and act accordingly and proactively contribute to process improvements
  • Adhere to and report on SLA metrics
  • Create, update standard operating procedures and perform quarterly document reviews
  • Meet quality control standards
  • Manage client and consumer related tasks within the case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
  • Perform administrative functions as required
  • Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employer and employee inquiries
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
  • Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle including all payroll impacting changes are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
  • Provide Payroll services to clients according to Dayforce contract, legislative requirements and business needs
  • Proactively manage quarter and year-end payroll auditing and processing
  • Resolve client’s issues and provide superior customer service to internal and external partners
  • Supports Client Relationship Executives with requests as needed for customer
  • Performs monthly reconciliations of tax remittances
  • Strong legislative working knowledge of all Canada garnishments in order to interpret, calculate, Strong legislative knowledge of ROEs in order to validate or enter ROE’s as needed.

Requirements

  • Industry related certifications or will obtain after employment
  • Multi-client payroll processing experience
  • 2000+ employee payroll processing experience
  • End-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Experience with Dayforce HCM or similar cloud payroll technology
  • Strong working knowledge of quality control and auditing standards
  • A desire to continually learn
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
