About the role
This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll cycles including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and year-end activities for assigned clients. The position emphasizes quality control, auditing, and proactive issue resolution while collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, garnishments, etc., are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, tax forms, payments and payroll processing for assigned clients
- Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employee inquiries
- Provide Payroll support services to clients according to Dayforce contract, legislative requirements and business needs
- Manage client and consumer related tasks within the case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
- Drive customer satisfaction by providing high quality of service
- Flexibility in terms of working hours, think and act ahead, spot opportunities and act accordingly and proactively contribute to process improvements
- Adhere to and report on SLA metrics
- Create, update standard operating procedures and perform quarterly document reviews
- Meet quality control standards
- Manage client and consumer related tasks within the case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
- Perform administrative functions as required
- Work with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employer and employee inquiries
- Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
- Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle including all payroll impacting changes are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
- Provide Payroll services to clients according to Dayforce contract, legislative requirements and business needs
- Proactively manage quarter and year-end payroll auditing and processing
- Resolve client’s issues and provide superior customer service to internal and external partners
- Supports Client Relationship Executives with requests as needed for customer
- Performs monthly reconciliations of tax remittances
- Strong legislative working knowledge of all Canada garnishments in order to interpret, calculate, Strong legislative knowledge of ROEs in order to validate or enter ROE’s as needed.
Requirements
- Industry related certifications or will obtain after employment
- Multi-client payroll processing experience
- 2000+ employee payroll processing experience
- End-to-end payroll processing experience
- Experience with Dayforce HCM or similar cloud payroll technology
- Strong working knowledge of quality control and auditing standards
- A desire to continually learn
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
