What You'll Do

• Process weekly and off-cycle payroll for salaried, hourly, union, and non-union employees, ensuring accurate calculations for wages, overtime, per diem, deductions, PTO, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including certified payroll, prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, IRA/PWA requirements, payroll taxes, garnishments, and audit-ready recordkeeping.
• Maintain accurate payroll data, labor allocations, job codes, and cost center distributions while reconciling payroll records to support job costing and financial reporting.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and external vendors to resolve payroll issues, support reporting, and ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and regulatory filings.
• Drive payroll excellence by performing audits, supporting payroll system enhancements, generating payroll reports, maintaining confidentiality, and continuously improving payroll processes and efficiency.

What You Bring

• 2–3 years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll, certified payroll, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship payroll administration.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, Davis-Bacon requirements, payroll auditing, reconciliation, and compliance best practices.
• Proficiency with UKG Ready (or a comparable HRIS/payroll system), Microsoft Excel, and payroll reporting tools, with exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and partner effectively across departments.
• Construction, manufacturing, or field operations experience preferred; FPC or CPP certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and occasional travel for training or site visits required.
