Payroll Specialist
What You'll Do
- Process high-volume, full-cycle payroll while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely employee payments.
- Review and validate employee time records, resolve discrepancies with field teams, and prepare payroll for processing.
- Handle off-cycle payroll transactions, including final paychecks, retroactive pay, corrections, and one-time payments.
- Maintain employee payroll data, including new hire paperwork, tax forms, personnel changes, and wage updates.
- Prepare certified payroll reports and support payroll tax payments, garnishments, ACH returns, and account reconciliations.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries, manage payroll tickets, and provide timely issue resolution.
- Generate payroll reports, support ad hoc data requests, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
- Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Oracle HCM, or similar payroll systems is preferred.
- Experience with Certified Payroll Reporting (CPR) software is a plus.
