Responsibilities
- Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system.
- Maintains employee records.
- Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions.
- Reconciles monthly benefit invoices to deductions.
- Issues or reissues physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Addresses any payroll inquiries while collaborating closely with HR and finance teams.
- Reconciles federal and state payroll tax deposits.
- Creates and processes reports for payroll audits and analysis.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience processing multi-state payroll.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to research data and extract meaningful information to ensure the accuracy of payroll information.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Previous experience in dental or healthcare.
