Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring wages, deductions, and taxes are calculated correctly and delivered on schedule.
  • Administer multi-state payroll activities while following applicable federal, state, and local regulations to maintain compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, review, and validate payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and support efficient payroll operations.
  • Audit payroll records on a regular basis to confirm accuracy in earnings, time reporting, benefit deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
  • Partner with internal teams such as human resources, finance, and management to address payroll questions and support employee changes that affect pay.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll issues in a timely manner, including missed payments, incorrect calculations, and employee inquiries.
  • Maintain organized payroll documentation and reporting to support internal controls, record retention, and audit readiness.
  • Assist with payroll-related process updates or system-related changes as needed while preserving continuity and accuracy in payroll delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final processing and distribution.
  • Hands-on background administering payroll for employees working in multiple states.
  • Practical experience using ADP Workforce Now in a payroll environment.
  • Ability to process payroll accurately for a large employee population of 500 or more.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholding practices, and standard compliance requirements.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in payroll administration.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
