Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations as a Payroll Specialist
- Manage and oversee the processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, ensuring full compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and contractual obligations
- Guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing while strictly adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations
- Conduct thorough analysis of payroll issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy as a Payroll Specialist
- Collaborate effectively with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to maintain system integrity and ensure compliance during payroll setup and updates
- Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to team members, facilitating local training sessions as needed to enhance team skills and knowledge
- Oversee and manage salary adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and payroll accounting, including the processing of final checks for both voluntary and involuntary employee separations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience
Qualifications
- College Degree
- Experience with UKG or Kronos Timekeeping System
