Payroll Specialist
Job Details
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Review and audit employee time records for completeness and accuracy
- Enter and maintain payroll data within the payroll system
- Verify labor allocations, cost codes, and project tracking information
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and special projects
- Partner with accounting and operations teams on payroll-related matters
- Support process improvement initiatives within payroll functions

Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Review and audit employee time records for completeness and accuracy
- Enter and maintain payroll data within the payroll system
- Verify labor allocations, cost codes, and project tracking information
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation
- Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and special projects
- Partner with accounting and operations teams on payroll-related matters
- Support process improvement initiatives within payroll functions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience managing payroll from start to finish in-house
- Strong understanding of labor tracking, job costing, or cost code allocation
- Experience reviewing manual timecards or timekeeping records
- Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Salary: $28 - $34 per hour
