Responsibilities
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll for approximately 550 hourly and salaried employees across multiple FEINs and states.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review, reconcile, and audit timekeeping records, payroll adjustments, deductions, and employee pay data.
- Process complex payroll transactions including bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, shift differentials, garnishments, child support, tax levies, and benefit deductions.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, tax elections, direct deposit information, and pay rate updates.
- Prepare payroll-related reports and support payroll tax, workers' compensation, unemployment, retirement, and internal audit activities.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, Benefits, and IT to resolve payroll issues, maintain data integrity, and improve payroll processes.
- Respond to employee payroll questions with professionalism and accuracy while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of end-to-end payroll experience supporting multi-state and multi-FEIN payroll environments.
- Experience processing payroll for a manufacturing or multi-site operation, including hourly employees, shift differentials, variable compensation, and attendance incentives, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, benefit deductions, garnishments, and year-end payroll activities.
- Experience with ADP is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- CPP certification or payroll-related coursework is a plus.
