Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll, including weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual incentives.
- Manage the daily operations of payroll functions and oversee biweekly payroll processing.
- Process payroll timely, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions (hires, terminations, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions).
- Administer and manage electronic timekeeping utilizing the payroll platform.
- Establish an audit process to verify the accuracy of payroll runs.
- Review timesheets for completeness and accuracy.
- Stay current on the latest federal or state payroll regulation changes and notify appropriate departments of any changes.
- Serve as the primary contact for all escalated payroll-related inquiries and respond to external payroll data or report requests from government agencies and auditors.
- Provide support and guidance to direct reports related to payroll and staffing.
- Ensure facilities are within HPPD (Hours Per Patient Day) budgets.
- Oversee facility HPPD, agency staffing use, staffing calls, master schedule reviews, and other aspects of labor management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in long-term care.
- Minimum of two (2) years managing and processing exempt and non-exempt payroll.
- Demonstrated success incorporating payroll of acquired companies.
- Experience in process and workflow improvement of payroll processes.
