About the role
The Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Lima, OH.
Responsibilities
- Maintain payroll records
- Manage deductions and garnishments
- Calculate and reconcile payroll taxes
- Coincide with payroll services providers as needed
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Resolve discrepancies
- Support HR and finance teams with payroll-related reporting
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration
- Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and experience coordinating with Payroll Services
- Experience handling Garnishments and other payroll-related deductions
- Proficiency with payroll software and Excel
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and HR practices related to compensation and benefits
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Effective communication skills to address employee questions and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a healthcare or nonprofit environment is a plus
