Duties
- Responds to inquiries from Agency personnel regarding payroll matters.
- Provides procedural instruction regarding payroll and timekeeping.
- Enters and processes employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments and pay cards.
- Processes payroll transactions accurately and timely.
Knowledge
- Performs duties in accordance with applicable Federal and State regulations and Goodwill’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Understands proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
- Resolves Payroll problems and exceptions in timely fashion.
Administration
- Enters and processes employee time, payroll adjustments, garnishments and pay cards.
- Processes payroll transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintains Agency payroll information in HRIS database.
- Prepares reporting for employees, managers, vendors and tax agencies when necessary.
- Develops ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality relative to payroll.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check the meets agency standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UKG or similar Payroll Systems.
