Certifications

CPP Preferred but not required

Work experience

  • 5+ years multi-state payroll experience, preferably with Federal Contracting and Project Based payroll
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of payroll

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables

  • Responsible to manage all payroll duties for assigned company
  • Work closely with your Managers/Supervisors to audit payroll and request approvals
  • Responsible for timely processing all helpdesk tickets for your companies
  • Provide situational awareness to management on any critical problem or issue that may arise in your area

Other Responsibilities

  • Process audit reports each pay period as noted in Payroll Checklist
  • Process Verification of Employment requests
  • Process Garnishments for your companies
  • Work as a team player to assist other payroll specialists to meet payroll deadlines

Requirements

  • Experience & Background: Five (5) plus years of payroll experience with a high volume, multi-state organization
  • Knowledge of Federal and State payroll requirements, FLSA, employment tax reporting and garnishment processing knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Teams) and Workday
  • Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with Associates at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, preference given to candidates who are bilingual (written and speaking) in Spanish
  • Well-developed verbal, listening and phone communication skills
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to write routine correspondence

  • Ability to develop a highly skilled and respected team
  • Ability to organize and prioritize many different tasks, and respond accordingly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail and accuracy
