PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Payroll Specialist Location: Tampa, FL 33607 - This position is onsite Pay: $30.00 per hour Type: Contract to hire Schedule Job description: Process bi-weekly, multi-state payroll, including reviewing employee time entries, identifying discrepancies, reconciling payroll reports, and ensuring accurate and timely payments.Maintain employee payroll records and process pay rate changes, new hires, terminations, promotions, deductions, garnishments, manual checks, bonuses, and payroll adjustments.Research and resolve payroll inquiries related to PTO, direct deposits, tax withholding, retroactive pay, garnishments, and other payroll-related matters.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports, including W-2s, wage reporting, payroll reconciliations, and financial reports for Accounting and regulatory agencies.Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations to maintain payroll accuracy, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, support audits, and improve payroll processes.
