About the role

CGI is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our fast-paced internal shared services environment. The role supports biweekly payroll processes for approximately 14,000 members, both within the US and overseas expats, with potential for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support biweekly payroll processes within an in-house payroll system or other payroll processing for all corporate entities.
  • Process new hires, terminations, and import various payroll data.
  • Coordinate with necessary taxing and other agencies related to payroll.
  • Calculate and resolve complex payroll/labor issues.
  • Support the establishment and implementation of policies, procedures, works standards, and controls to ensure compliance.
  • Perform advanced analytics and communicate with senior management on payroll communications.
  • Work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize under strict deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Accounting to integrate information seamlessly and timely.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and documentation.
  • Other duties as specified by the Corporate Payroll Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years payroll processing in a fast-paced, multi-state labor/payroll environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • CPP or FPC designation preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Display responsible and professional leadership.
  • Strong ability to provide high-level customer service.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with M&A processes and support.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51,600.00 - $121,100.00.
