Payroll Specialist

About the role

Homestead, PA (Hybrid). We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Payroll Specialist responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining payroll records. The ideal candidate will have experience handling multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and payroll system management.

Responsibilities

• Process high volume payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy in deductions, earnings, and taxes.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries.
• Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to manage benefits deductions and reporting.
• Assist in payroll audits and prepare necessary reports.
• Support process improvements and system upgrades for payroll efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems; UKG (UltiPro) preferred.
• Understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for payroll reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
