Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for approximately 500 employees on a regular schedule
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data including hours, deductions, and benefits
- Maintain and manage payroll records within Paylocity
- Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Handle employee payroll inquiries and provide timely support
- Afford payroll-related reporting and audits
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
- Support process improvements and efficiencies as a proactive Payroll Specialist
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist, ideally within a nonprofit environment
- Experience with Paylocity
- Experience processing payroll for mid-sized organizations (hundreds of employees preferred)
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, compliance, and reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities as a Payroll Specialist
Pay & Schedule
Compensation: $60k - $70k
