Payroll Specialist

About the Role

This position involves processing payroll and related tasks for a mid-sized growing company in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit weekly payrolls in a timely and efficient manner.
• Review and process daily employee maintenance to ensure accuracy in the payroll system.
• Complete maintenance for benefit-related items, including PTO, insurance, and 401K, in the payroll system.
• Prepare payroll reports.
• Calculate retro pay, including shift differentials.
• Verify and process wage garnishments, child support, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner.
• Communicate issues and resolutions to team members.
• Complete employment verification requests.
• Provide exemplary customer service by answering employee/facility phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Dedicated, organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
• Computer proficiency.
• Payroll experience preferred (5+ years).
• Excel software experience preferred.
• Ultimate Software experience is a plus but not required.
• Professional speaking voice and exceptional communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to review daily tasks and set priorities for efficient and accurate operation.

Pay

$50,000–$60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
