Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle biweekly payroll processing for approximately 1,000 employees across the U.S. and Canada, including regular wages, incentive pay, commissions, bonuses, benefit deductions, taxes, and garnishments.
  • Review and validate employee time records, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws, company policies, and payroll procedures.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes such as new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and compensation updates.
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders and audits.
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees and partner with HR, Accounting, Benefits, and Finance to resolve discrepancies.
  • Cook up payroll tax registrations, filings, garnishments, and other statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Cook up year-end payroll activities, including tax reporting and accrual reconciliations.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations, strengthen internal controls, and improve overall efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, garnishments, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion while delivering outstanding internal customer service.

  • $80,000 - 90,000 / Annually
