Payroll Processing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join one of Utah's leading Payroll Processing companies. In this role, you will process payroll for multiple locations across the country, including handling commissions, and ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, addressing any concerns employees may have about their pay stubs and deductions.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple companies and employees
• Work quickly and efficiently in a payroll program
• Communicate with clients regarding their payroll via email or phone
• Understand and manage payroll taxes and employee benefit deductions
• Understand and manage the ACH processes
• Lead and provide direction to team members
• Review processes to minimize mistakes
• Meet deadlines and respond timely to clients and employees

Requirements

• At least 2 years of payroll experience
• High School graduate or equivalent
• CPP - Certified Payroll Professional (preferred)
• Able to manage workflow efficiently to meet client’s needs
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong phone skills and professional phone etiquette
• Ability to learn new programs quickly and take direction well
• Ability to work well with others
• Self-starter

Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
