Payroll Manager (Multi-State)

Full-time position based in Syracuse, NY.

About the role

Leads payroll processes for a large multi-state employer with multiple tax classifications. Works closely with Human Resources and a Payroll Analyst to manage the complete payroll process for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete payroll process in close coordination with Human Resources and the Payroll Analyst.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal payroll regulations across multiple states and tax classifications.
• Ensure accurate payroll records and reporting.
• Administer retirement plan contributions for employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• 10+ years of hands-on payroll administration experience, including multi-state experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage payroll processes in a high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounting experience.
• Experience with retirement plan administration.
• Experience with payroll systems supporting multi-state, multi-classification employers.

Pay

$90,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience.
