Your Purpose as a Payroll Manager

Lead the Payroll Department, including team leadership, accuracy, employee relations, and best practices.

Oversee accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payrolls for 1,800+ employees, including direct responsibility for a portion of the payroll.

Manage, mentor, and develop payroll team members.

Serve as primary contact for payroll system implementations and enhancements.

Ensure accurate entry of payroll and HR changes into Paylocity, along with time and attendance adjustments.

Conduct weekly and monthly payroll audits to confirm accuracy and compliance.

Provide reporting and analysis to leadership on payroll trends and exceptions.

Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and internal controls.

Manage garnishments in compliance with state laws.

Collaborate with dealership leadership on pay plans, commissions, bonuses, and payroll-related matters.

Research and resolve payroll issues; escalate concerns when necessary.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and document payroll procedures.

Oversee payroll/timekeeping system projects and train users.

Stay informed on payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Manager strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, auditing practices, and compliance
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle

Additional Qualifications

  • Paylocity experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
