Payroll Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the rollout of a payroll solution across multiple sites, ensuring a smooth and organized implementation process for a workforce of more than 2,000 employees.
- Manage end-to-end payroll activities for a large employee population, maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple states.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to define payroll requirements, resolve issues, and keep implementation milestones on track.
- Provide subject matter expertise on payroll workflows, controls, and best practices to support system configuration and process alignment.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive solutions that support successful delivery of payroll objectives.
- Support testing, validation, and issue resolution to confirm the payroll platform functions effectively before and after deployment.
- Communicate updates, expectations, and key decisions clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams throughout the engagement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading payroll implementations in complex organizational environments.
- Strong background in full-cycle payroll administration for large employee populations.
- Hands-on expertise managing multi-state payroll with a solid understanding of compliance requirements.
- Experience working with ADP payroll platforms, with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to support payroll operations for organizations with more than 500 employees.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance project-based implementation work with ongoing payroll oversight in a fast-paced setting.
