About the Role
This position will manage multi-state payroll functions for the Airfoils Division, including payroll application, 401K administration, and benefit audits.
Responsibilities
- Audit process of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations for accuracy and timeliness.
- Serve as indirect supervisor for payroll staff at manufacturing sites.
- Critically review and analyze payroll benefit tax procedures to recommend and/or implement best practices.
- Supervise and coordinate fiscal and calendar year-end processing of payroll, W-2 and other tax forms, and government-required documentation.
- Audit payroll year-to-date, fringe, and other company codes for the Division.
- Complete month-end reconciliations for payroll liability accounts.
- Communicate actively with locations regarding deadlines, changes, and payroll applications.
- Train team members and create training documentation on systems, procedures, and policies.
- Perform Sarbanes Oxley audits as required for the payroll department.
- Work with internal and external auditors.
- Control the ADP master file and any changes to custom calculations, feeds, etc., across all company codes.
- Prepare management reports as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance and/or equivalent experience and training.
- 7 to 10 years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment with a minimum of 2,000 employees on payroll.
- Experience with ADP automated payroll systems is required.
- Ability to interpret time policies and apply them to the payroll system.
- Experience applying state and federal wage and hour laws to the payroll system.
- Working experience with payroll tax at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.

Working Conditions
- Travel required, mostly local to the greater Cleveland area.
- Must be able to sit and work in an office environment for extended periods of time.
