About the role

The Payroll Manager will lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery across the organization and its subsidiaries. They will provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of payroll professionals, fostering accountability and continuous growth. They will serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, delivering responsive and high-quality support to employees and leadership. They will monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, proactively implementing updates as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery across the organization and its subsidiaries
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of payroll professionals, fostering accountability and continuous growth
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, delivering responsive and high-quality support to employees and leadership
  • Maintain and optimize payroll systems and tools to support business needs and scalability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, People & Culture, Benefits, and IT teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and system integration

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; FPC or CPP certification required
  • 10+ years of payroll experience in a corporate or professional services environment, including experience leading payroll teams
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop team members while driving high performance
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Able to prioritize a dynamic workload and adapt to evolving business needs
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with Workday payroll required; exposure to UKG preferred
  • Experience supporting or leading payroll system implementations, preferably within Workday

Qualifications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $91,800 to $146,900 per year.

Schedule

This role is available to work in a hybrid capacity from one of our major office locations.
