Responsibilities

  • Supporting payroll processing for both corporate and property-level employees.
  • Ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in alignment with company policies.
  • Maintaining and updating payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, deductions, and other employee changes.
  • Reviewing timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coinciding with Human Resources to ensure payroll changes are supported by proper documentation.
  • Aiding with payroll tax reporting, wage garnishments, benefit deductions, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Responding to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, payroll procedures, and related items with professionalism and care.
  • Generating payroll reports for Finance, Human Resources, and leadership teams as needed.
  • Supporting year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and reporting.
  • Keeping sensitive payroll and employee information organized, accurate, and confidential.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of payroll or accounting experience preferred.
  • Hospitality, multi-unit, or property-support experience preferred.
  • Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping software preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage laws.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and payroll information.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with Human Resources, Finance, property leadership, and employees.

Qualifications

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on payroll systems, records, and reports.
  • Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 15–20 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment with standard business hours.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of the importance of payroll accuracy.
  • Organized and dependable with the ability to manage time-sensitive work.
  • Understanding of compliance with federal, state, and local wage and labor regulations.
  • Ability to work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and property leadership teams to resolve questions and keep records accurate.
  • Comfortable working with payroll systems, timekeeping tools, reports, and employee data.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Clear communication and patience in supporting employees and leaders.
  • Energized by work requiring consistency, precision, and trust.
