Position Summary

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for collecting timekeeping information, incorporating various deductions into period payrolls, and issuing pay and related information to employees. They also assist upper management with employee information as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Input new hires and personnel changes into the system.
  • Process terminations in the system.
  • Enter pay details into payroll systems.
  • Answer the telephone promptly.
  • Answer questions regarding payroll policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience processing multi-state payroll preferred.
  • Compliance with Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check upon offer of employment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to present a professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Constant interaction with computers and prolonged periods of viewing monitors.
  • Frequent telephone use on a multiline system.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to climb stairs.
