Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll from start to finish, ensuring employee pay is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review earnings, tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and other payroll entries to confirm correct calculations.
  • Monitor applicable payroll laws and company guidelines to help keep payroll practices compliant.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, time records, and payroll discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain oversight of timekeeping and attendance information, partnering with departments to correct missing or inaccurate hours.
  • Prepare payroll, attendance, and workforce-related reports for leadership, identifying patterns and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Aid in employee record maintenance and HR administrative tasks connected to hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and leave documentation.
  • Process benefits-related changes such as enrollments, updates, and terminations, and coordinate required payroll deductions and supporting documentation.
  • Keep personnel files and related employment documentation accurate, current, and organized in HR and payroll systems.

Requirements

  • Experience handling payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with payroll administration for employee populations ranging from approximately 101 to 500 employees.
  • Working knowledge of payroll regulations, deductions, and compliance standards.
  • Experience using Paycom or a similar payroll platform.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential employee and compensation information with discretion.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work across departments to resolve payroll and timekeeping issues.
